The Premium Universal Carbon Pre-filter HRF-APP1 is an upgrade of the basic HRF-AP1. Not only does it help reduce common household odors and trap more dirt particles than standard carbon filters, maximizing the HEPA filter life, but it is better at reducing odors AND helps get rid of unhealthy household gases (VOCs).

Replace approximately every 3 months.
